In 2004, I left my career in consulting and my life in Boston in order to embark on a journey. The adventure began in Houston, TX, where I was born and raised. I returned to Houston after nearly ten years in Massachusetts in order to be closer to my family before taking off to a destination even further away than a 4-hour flight. After considerable deliberation, attending business school in Europe was clearly the answer! It would permit me to live abroad for up to two years (or possibly longer). Without hesitation, without looking back, I boarded a plane to Barcelona, Spain where I studied for nineteen months with individuals from more than fifty countries at one of the world’s top business schools.

My ultimate ROI (return on investment) was securing a job at a bank in London, England upon graduating from the MBA. I had wanted to live in London for some time. After all, it’s where, as a child, my family and I spent our winters when we were living in Saudi Arabia because of my father’s job. And although I had my heart set on starting a life there, London had other plans for me. It basically chewed me up and spat me out! Personally and professionally the first six months were some of the hardest, if not the hardest, in my life. In the winter of 2009, one year and three months later, I returned to Barcelona, Spain where I spent another two and a half years.

Now, I am on the brink of my next big adventure – returning to the US after living in Europe for the past six years!! There’s no better spot to live besides the city that doesn’t sleep! Oh yeah, start spreading the news… I’m leaving today… I want to be a part of it… I’m going to make a brand new start of it… In old New York!! This Denim Mini is ready to start a new chapter of her life. Join me as I re-acclimate to the country I was born in and as I get to know my new home in New York City. It’s guaranteed to be eventful and nothing but entertaining! Time to jump on the back of this bucking bronco and go for a ride… hold on tight! Here we go!!
